Waterbeach and beyond

Midsummer of course means Midsummer Fair. So on Sunday night we headed out to Waterbeach to avoid the noise and crowds.

It’s always nice to have a change of scenery and it’s a very nice spot with lovely views.

The cats think it’s excellent out here and Thea in particular has got a lot bolder, and has been developing her hunting skills!

Work has taken me to some lovely places this week as well, we’ve been out delivering programmes to Wisbech, March, and St Ives.

Welney Wetland Centre on the edge of the Hundred Foot drain

Upwell, a more familiar place, strange to be here by car not boat!

Wisbech and Fenland Museum

The Orchard Tea Rooms, Wisbech, where they serve the most delicious banana cake!

The Norris Museum, St Ives

Samovar Tea shop, Ely (Polish custard doughnut)

As you can see it was a tour not just of some of the lovely places but also the cake shops of the Ouse Washes!
