A Postcard from Pitcairn Island

It’s not every day you receive a postcard from Pitcairn Island, the smallest British Overseas Territory. 9000 miles from London and one of the world’s most isolated communities, it is home to just 47 people, descendants of the Bounty mutineers and their Polynesian companions. It’s reached only via a supply ship which arrives there once every three months. My postcard came from Rhiannon Adams, a friend of a friend, who has just returned from a 3 month visit to the island on a mission to photograph and document island life. I contributed to her Kickstarter campaign and in return, she wrote to me from the island! You can read about her adventures on her blog.
